Last year, both the Belmont Volunteer Fire Department & the St. Marys Volunteer Fire Department received grants from the Foundation for various firefighting equipment.
The Fire Departments recieved Task Force Tip's Blitzfire Monitor Nozzles, which allows the department to put up to 500 gallons of water on a fire per minute. This nozzle greatly enhances their ability to fight all fires, especially industrial fires. The nozzle is also equipped with a safety shut-off valve that stops water flow if the nozzle begins to slide on the ground or tips upward.
